Tea is not a category. It is part of the day.

In Kris’s family, tea never needed a ceremony to matter. His mum can wake in the middle of the night with too much in her head, make a cup, read for a while and go back to sleep. His aunt does much the same. A conversation, a visit, something to sort out: tea is usually a good answer.

Loose leaf, even though it is more work

We prioritise loose-leaf tea because we believe it makes a better cuppa. It is messier and operationally a tea bag would be much easier, but that is not a good enough reason to change it.

Our selection

The selection can change, but the rule does not: we prefer loose-leaf tea and a cup that is genuinely worth drinking.
