Apple & Mora Crumble: pie and crumble in one cake.

One of the earliest surviving English recipes for apple pie dates to 1381. Centuries later, crumble became particularly associated with British home cooking during the Second World War, when its topping required fewer rationed ingredients than a complete pastry crust.

Two British ideas together

Our version brings fruit and a pie-style base together with a crumble topping. We use mulberry — mora, not blackberry — because its acidity keeps the apple from becoming flat or overly sweet.

The name stays

The product is called Apple & Mora Crumble. We keep “Mora” in the title because that is the product name our customers know; in English body copy, we explain that the fruit is mulberry.
