At home, English Breakfast was Kris’s father’s territory. Sundays were his job. Later, living in London, it became an occasional ritual: not something for every day, but a treat — and particularly persuasive after a long night.

What matters

Good bread, homemade baked beans, eggs, bacon, tomato, mushrooms and sausages that get as close as possible to the British style. At The Gay Baker we serve it with sourdough. Kris calls it, rather affectionately, “British paracetamol”.

Why only Miraflores?

Because Miraflores has a secondary kitchen that lets us cook it to order. Surquillo is the heart of production and it would make no sense to interrupt that operation for individual breakfasts. Brunch in Miraflores will grow gradually as the kitchen grows with it.
